The validity certificate of 53 Voluntary Organizations (NGOs) in Himachal Pradesh has expired. Now funds will not come from abroad for these NGOs. If someone has not renewed, then someone has not completed the formalities to get the certificate. The Union Home Ministry has shared their names on its website. These entities have previously been registered for foreign aid under the Foreign Fund Exchange Act (FCRA). These include institutions from the districts of Kangra, Shimla, Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Mandi, Sirmaur etc.
Prominent among them are Bouddhichita Welfare Kangra, Maple Leap Hospital Kangra, The Palampur Rotary Eye Foundation, The Bir Shakya Lamaj Society, Dorjong Monastic Institute Charitable Trust Tashi Jong Kangra, Thangde Gatsal Village Kandi Dharamshala, Gyuto Tantric Math PO Siddhbari Dharamsala, Dhagapo Shed. Cultural Society Kullu, Layul Tribal Welfare Association Manali, Dechen Choikhor Mahavihar Trust Bhuntar, Yangchen Chholing Monastery VPO Pangmo Spiti etc. Other organizations include Divya Manav Jyoti Orphanage Mandi, Sahyog Child Hearing Handicapped Welfare Committee Mandi, Himachal Harijan Kalyan Sanstha Theog, Sai Engineering Foundation New Shimla, Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Sri Sathya Sai Trust Shimla, IIRD Shimla, Society for Social Action for Rural Development Kafota. Institutions like Madrasa Quadria Sirmaur etc. are also included.
