Corona cases are increasing continuously across the state. The number of active cases in the state has reached close to 4500. In view of this, the Jairam government has already implemented night curfew and five day week arrangement with 50 percent staff in government offices. However, despite this, the number of cases is continuously increasing in the state. Because of this, the Health Department and the Disaster Management Cell have already recommended to increase the strictness. The Himachal Pradesh government has proposed to hold a cabinet meeting on January 14. It is being speculated that in this cabinet meeting, the government can take a decision on weekend curfew in the state. According to reports, on January 13, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a review meeting with the Chief Ministers of 19 states across the country to discuss the situation. After this, the government can take major decisions regarding the restrictions in the cabinet meeting. There can also be discussion about imposing some restrictions regarding tourists and special session of the assembly. Let us inform that on Tuesday, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, while talking to reporters on the inauguration of the new OPD block of IGMC, said that if the cases of corona increase in the state, then the government will consider increasing the restrictions. He said that this will also be discussed in detail with PM Modi in the review meeting. On Tuesday, Chief Secretary Ram Subhag Singh has given a virtual meeting with the Deputy Commissioners of the districts to review the arrangements and visit the hospitals every day. Cases have increased in the state since last 10 days. On December 31, the figure of active patients was 466. Now their number has reached more than 4000. More than 500 people are getting infected every day.
