The under-construction tunnel of NHPC Phase II being built at Shilha in Parvati Valley of Kullu district again leaked. The flood caused during the leakage created panic among the workers inside the tunnel and saved their lives by running away. It is being told that dozens of workers were working inside the tunnel. The workers are horrified by the incident in the tunnel being built about 32 km long. A video of heavy leakage inside the tunnel has gone viral. In which voices are being given to each other to run away in the midst of a flood-like situation.
However, no casualties have been reported in the incident. This is the second incident within a week. The tunnel became swampy due to the debris that came with the leakage. The incident is said to have happened on Friday evening. The tunnel is being constructed by Gaiman Company. It is noteworthy that this tunnel of NHPC Phase II is leaking at various places. Due to which the construction work is not being completed on time. The tunnel is being constructed for the last 24 years. The tunnel is being constructed between Shilha of Manikarn to Siund of Sainj, whose length is about 32 kilometers.
