In Himachal Pradesh, the cases of corona have started increasing again.  Due to this, the concern of the state becoming corona free has started increasing.  There was a steady decline in active cases till April 15 in the state and active cases (41 patients) had reached the lowest level in the last one and a half year, but from the very next day i.e. April 16, new cases of corona started increasing.  Now the active cases in the state have increased from 41 to 63 in three days.  The trend of recovery has also changed from 16 to 18 April. More new cases are coming and less number of active patients are getting cured.  Now to prevent corona infection, the Health Department will have to emphasize on testing and tracing, because very few people have been tested for corona in the last one month.  These days tourists from all over the country are reaching all the tourist places of the state.  Therefore, along with increasing testing, it has become necessary to make people aware of wearing masks and following the rules of washing hands.

During the last three days, more patients have come to the fore in Kangra and Chamba districts.  Out of 12 districts of the state, more than 10 active cases are left in these two districts, while in other districts less than 10 active cases are left.  Bilaspur, Kinnaur and Sirmaur districts are still corona free, while one active case each in Kullu, Lahaul Spiti and Shimla districts, 9 in Hamirpur, 7 in Mandi, 6-6 patients are left in Solan and Una.
