A major accident has occurred on the Chamba-Jot road of the district. Three people were killed and two were injured in a car accident near Batalwa temple located on the road. It is being told that the car riders were coming from Kangra to Chamba. All these people are said to be residents of Chamba Palur Panchayat. Police and people have taken the injured to the local hospital and the dead bodies have also been taken out of the ditch and sent to the hospital. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. The car fell into a very deep gorge, killing three people on the spot. The accident occurred at around 6 am on Chamba Jot Marg. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the in-charge of Chamba police station reached the spot along with his team. Alto car HP 73-5865 has an accident at a turn near a place called Bhatalwa, about 4 kms from Chamba.
30 year old Lal Hussain son Noor Mahi village Dadu post office Plyur tehsil and district Chamba, 30 year old Muhammad Rashid son Hasan Din village Mashwadi post office Plyur tehsil and district Chamba and 52 year old Fateh Mohammad son Qutubuddin village Naihapuri post office Plyur district Chamba died in the accident. Apart from this, the driver of the vehicle Ramaun son Umardeen village Mashwadi post office Plyur tehsil and district Chamba and Misar son Lal Hussain village Maswadi post office Plyur are injured. The bodies of the deceased have been taken out and kept in the mortuary of Chamba Hospital. The injured have been taken to Chamba Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Police have registered a case and started further action.
