Budget of ₹600 crores passed from center Govt. for roads of villages in Himachal

Rural roads have been approved more budget than Punjab and Haryana in the election year in the state. The central government has given an indicative budget of Rs 600 crore for Himachal under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), while only Rs 150 crore has been sanctioned for neighboring Haryana and Rs 400 crore for Punjab. States will also have to add their share in this. Under PMGSY, a token fund of Rs 600 crore has been allocated for the state in the financial year 2022-23. In this, Himachal Pradesh will have to deposit Rs 66.67 crore of its share. That is, a total of Rs 666.67 crore will be spent on roads under the scheme in Himachal.
