Ten day annual NCC training camp concluded with colorful cultural programs
On Wednesday, a ten-day annual NCC training camp organized by 7 HP (L) Koy NCC Shimla in the premises of Government Senior Secondary School, Shoghi Shimla concluded in which NCC cadets of APG Shimla University along with various educational institutions of Shimla participated. Col Sunit Shankta, Commanding Officer, 7 HP (L) Coy NCC Shimla Army Wing, on the concluding day of the training exhorted the NCC cadets to realize the purpose, unity and discipline of NCC in life and wished them all on the successful completion of the training camp. Congratulations to NCC cadets. Col Sunit Shankta said that during the training camp, the NCC cadets were exposed to various Army related training activities. Colonel Sunit Shankta said that during this ten-day long NCC training camp, JCOs, military officers and NCC officers were given better training on activities like parade to weapons training, map reading, warfare skills to NCC cadets. At the conclusion of the NCC camp, Commanding Officer Col Sunit Shankta while highlighting the various training activities organized during the training camp said that the way NCC cadets showed keen interest and interest in all the training activities is appreciated. Col Sunit Shankta said that the cadets were trained in drill, map reading, battle craft and various weapons during the training camp. Col Shankta informed that the cadets were also given an opportunity to display their firing skills by firing from 22 rifles. While addressing the cadets, Commanding Officer Col Sunit Shankta said that apart from Army training, SCC students will be given physical fitness, leadership ability, self-confidence, sense of respect, patriotism, self-reliance, unity, communication skills and many more knowledge about successful life. Which makes a better citizen in the future. Col Sunit Shankta informed that before the conclusion of this NCC annual training, NCC cadets presented an impressive colorful cultural program in which NCC cadets from various educational institutions performed well in group anthems, dances, songs and musical instruments etc. Camp Commandant Col Sunit Shankta also gave away prizes to the cadets who performed well during the camp. Commanding Officer Col Sunit Shankta said that 190 NCC cadets including 97 NCC cadets girl students of NCC Army Wing participated in this ten-day annual NCC Army Wing training camp which lasted till November 15, 24. All JCOs, NCC officers and CTOs, staff of Shoghi Pathshala and civil people were present on this occasion.
