With the scorching heat in Himachal Pradesh, the forests have also started burning with fire. Every day valuable forest wealth is being burnt to ashes by forest fires. The forest fire in the capital Shimla has become uncontrollable. A fire is raging in the Tutikandi forest adjoining the city. Due to this the whole city is in the lap of smoke. While the valuable forest wealth is being burnt to ashes by the fire, the smoke coming out of it is also affecting the health of the people.
On Sunday, a massive fire broke out in the pine forest near Tutikandi Zoo and Girls’ Ashram. The teams of forest and fire department had to struggle hard to douse the fire on the spot. The fire reached the Tutikandi girl’s ashram. This created an atmosphere of panic. Small children present in the ashram had to face trouble due to smoke. However, later the fire was brought under control. Apart from this, there has also been a case of forest fire in Shakti Vihar of Pandha Ghati.
