The third season of Himachal’s biggest cricket league, Pro Himachal Premium Cricket League (Pro HPCL), concluded this Sunday on an unusual yet memorable note. The much-anticipated grand finale between Cyberbells Tech Titans Kotkhai and Wine Association was interrupted and eventually canceled due to heavy rain and a severe storm.

Keeping in view the safety of players and the unplayable condition of the ground, the organizing committee, after discussions with the team captains and franchise owners, unanimously decided to declare both teams as joint winners of this season.

Co-founders Ajay Thakur, Veenu Diwan, Abhay Thakur, and Sumit Sehgal jointly stated that this decision reflects the spirit of sportsmanship and equality. They expressed that the league is not just a competition but a platform to promote young talent across Himachal.

This season also saw a remarkable environmental initiative — the One Run, One Tree campaign. With a total of 12,300 runs scored during the tournament, 12,300 trees will now be planted across Shimla and other regions of Himachal Pradesh. This effort aims to blend sports with social and environmental responsibility.

Although the final match could not be completed, Pro HPCL Season 3 has left a strong impact on cricket lovers in Himachal and beyond. The organizing team is now focused on making the next season even more grand and inspiring.
