Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the program organized at famous water sports venue Taleru on the concluding occasion of The Himalayan Ghoral 9th National Dragon Boat Race Competition organized under Chalo Chamba Abhiyan said that this will help in giving new dimensions to the tourism scenario in Chamba district. The campaign will play an important role. Around 800 participants from 19 states participated in the Chalo Chamba Abhiyan competition. Assuring all possible assistance by the State Government for organizing various activities to be organized in the series of this campaign, the Chief Minister said that despite the limited resources, the successful organization of the competition with the active participation of the district administration and local people has undoubtedly helped in the economic development of the district. The Chief Minister announced the opening of a government college in Dalhousie, fulfilling the long pending demand of the people of Dalhousie area. He announced to start the classes of science faculty in Government Senior Secondary School Tikru, upgrade Government High School Garagad to Senior Secondary, upgrade Government Primary School Jatota and Chhana to Secondary School, Government Secondary School Ladher and Jatrahan to High School. .
