Eight new cases of Omicron variant of corona have been reported in Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours. These include five in district Kullu, one each in district Shimla, Solan and Chamba. He has no travel history. At the same time, seven people died of corona in the state, while 2368 new corona patients have appeared. The number of Omicron patients in the state has now reached 15. The state government has alerted about the new variant. On Thursday, three persons from district Kangra, two from district Shimla, one each in district Una and Mandi have died from Corona. Sampling of 12,728 people has been done in the state on Thursday. The Health Department believes that even though the cases of corona are increasing in the state, but hundreds of people are also recovering. The number of people who were cured of corona on Thursday stood at 1681. The number of active cases in Himachal has reached 12917. The death toll from the pandemic has risen to 3899.
