Mandhol Village Hosts Historic Tree Plantation Drive in Jubbal

In a significant step towards environmental conservation, Mandhol village witnessed the plantation of 1,000 deodar trees today. The drive was organized by Yuva Mandal Mandhol, Mahila Mandal Jhouta, Indira Fellowship Club, Devta Nageshwar Temple Committee, and Nepali Cricket Club, with participation from over 100 villagers.

The Forest Department provided the saplings, and Youth Mandal Mandhol ensured logistical support. Deodar trees, known for combating air pollution and improving biodiversity, were planted to address climate change, air quality, and soil erosion.

“This initiative is a testament to our commitment to a greener future. We hope to inspire others to undertake similar efforts,” said Asha Chauhan, President of Jhouta Mahila Club.

The event saw active involvement from all sections of the village, including women, youth, and social organizations. Organizers plan to make this an annual event, aiming for wider participation from nearby areas. This initiative reflects the power of collective action for environmental preservation.
