A nine-member SIT has got another big success after seven people died due to consumption of spurious liquor in Salapar-Kangu area of Mandi district. The SIT has succeeded in arresting five more accused and so far a total of 13 accused have been arrested in the case. SIT chief DIG Madhusudan said that the accused mixed methanol in liquor instead of ethanol, due to which seven people died. He made fake liquor under the name VRV Fools and put it in the market.
DIG Madhusudan said that Praveen Kumar, two artisans Pushpendra and Sunny, accused of running an illegal liquor factory, AK Tripathi, who supplied the formula, Sagar Saini, a spirit supplier, have been arrested. Alok Kumar Tripathi, 54, is a resident of Gandhi Nagar Front of Kotwali district, Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. Sagar Saini Behera Enclave is located in Paschim Vihar New Delhi. Praveen Kumar resident of Panyala village of district Hamirpur, Pushpendra and Sunny resident of Bhawanigarhi Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. Let us inform that seven people of Sundernagar area have died due to drinking spurious liquor. Apart from this, treatment of twenty is going on.
