7 H.P. NCC Shimla conducted a NCC camp in Government Aadarsh Senior Secondary School Karsog of District Mandi of H.P. on Thursday under the aegis of Principal Devendra Chauhan. As per the instructions of Commanding Officer Col. D.R. Gargey of 7 H.P. Coy NCC Shimla deployed Havaldar Chetan Prkash and Havaldar Vipul Thapa to training the NCC cadets, and also Havaldars taught the lesson of unity and discipline to the cadets. During this one day training camp, cadets were informed about drill and boosted their physical strength to be true cadets. As per the instructions of 7 H.P. Coy NCC Commanding officer Col. D.R. Gargey, such training camps will be conducted in all other schools and colleges under 7 H.P NCC Shimla to prowess the cadets in the all areas of NCC training including map reading, drill & commands, leadership & personally development, environment & ecology, communication skills, social awareness, health & hygiene, weapon training, physical posture training, self defence, field & battle craft, etc. to nurture them for the armed forces and nation building.
During the camp, cadets were also informed about the structure of military forces and brave sons. Havaldar Chetan Prakash and Havaldar Vipul Thapa also aware the cadets of the historical aspects associated with the Indian army. “This NCC training was very inevitable as it was feeling dearth of training for perk up NCC pursuits among cadets and also calm down in their inner strength were perceived due to long pester of covid-19 pandemic”, told associate NCC officer Om Prakash Shashtri of Aadarsh Government Senior Secondary School Karsog.
