Online RTI information will now be available in the state. For this, any Indian citizen from the country or abroad will be able to take advantage of this service. To avail this facility, online payment can be made through bank account or credit and debit cards. Himachal Pradesh has become the first state to provide this facility in smaller and northern states. Till now such facility is available in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka. For this, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur started the online RTI portal on behalf of the Department of Administrative Reforms. You will not have to travel to get information in the offices. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that starting of online portal would help the general public to apply, obtain information and appeal under the RTI Act, 2005. With this, the facility will be available to the people at their doorstep and they will not have to go to government offices to get information. He said that it is clear from this that the government wants to work in a transparent manner with accountability to the people. Information Technology Minister Dr. Ramlal Markanda, Secretary Administrative Reforms Dr. Other senior officers including Sandeep Bhatnagar and Joint Secretary Rajesh Sharma were present on the occasion. Application for RTI will have to be made on the portal. To get information under the RTI Act, one has to apply on the portal. After this, the information sought will be made available in the stipulated time as before. As soon as the person applies on the RTI portal to take advantage of this service, then his name will be registered. This information will be available to him through SMS on his mobile number. This information will be available online from 50 to 60 pages.
