The registration process for Season 3 of Pro HPCL, Himachal’s biggest cricket league, has officially concluded. This season, a total of 567 players from across Himachal Pradesh have registered for the league. Now, these players will participate in trials on March 22 at Durga Public School, Solan, starting at 8:30 AM, where franchise owners and their representatives will be present to select the best players for their teams. Following the trials, the player auction is scheduled for March 23 in Shimla, where all 567 registered players will be up for bidding, and teams will finalize their squads.
The tournament matches will be played from April 29 to May 10 at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula. While Pro HPCL is in the process of building its own cricket stadium in Shimla, the ground will not be ready in time for this season. To ensure the league stays on schedule, the organizing committee has decided to host the matches at the renowned Panchkula stadium.
Taking a major step toward environmental sustainability, Pro HPCL has announced its “1 Run, 1 Tree” initiative this season. Under this campaign, one tree will be planted for every run scored during the entire tournament. In the previous season, over 7,200 runs were scored, and with the league expanding to 20 teams this year, an estimated 10,000 trees will be planted. Pro HPCL is collaborating with the Government of Himachal Pradesh and various NGOs to execute this initiative. After the tournament concludes, a seven-day plantation drive will be conducted to plant trees equivalent to the total runs scored.
The complete list of registered players has been published on the official website of Pro HPCL. Fans, franchises, and players can now access the list and get ready for an action-packed season.
Pro HPCL founders Ajay Thakur, Veenu Diwan, Abhay Thakur, Sumit Sehgal, and Anil Chauhan expressed their excitement about the upcoming season, stating: “The overwhelming response from players shows the growing passion for cricket in Himachal. With our expanded league, the 1 Run, 1 Tree initiative, and a strong commitment to the sport, Pro HPCL continues to pave the way for local talent while contributing to a greener future.”
