Students are not going to get leave in Himachal now. Yes, excited by the ever-increasing attendance of students in government schools of Himachal Pradesh, the state government has decided not to close the schools. The decision was taken in a meeting of departmental officers held under the chairmanship of Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur at the state secretariat on Thursday. The Education Minister said that private schools in winter districts have been empowered themselves to explore an option between online or offline studies. Private schools will have to take a further decision in this regard after discussing with PTA or SMC. The Education Minister directed the departmental officers to ensure strict compliance in schools with the SOPs made to prevent corona infection. Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur told the media after the meeting that the attendance of students in government schools has reached 80 per cent. Students and parents are happy with the opening of the school. So there is no justification for closing the schools. He said that for the smooth conduct of education in schools, it is necessary to follow SOPs. Those private school management who do not want to invite the children, decide for themselves. The government has authorized them to take decisions at their own level.
