Six more corona infected have died in Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours . Two each from Kangra and Shimla, one each from district Hamirpur and Mandi have died. At the same time, the number of corona active patients in the state has come down to 6637. 1546 people have been cured in the state. Sampling of 7100 people was done on Saturday. Out of these, the report of 650 has come positive. The deaths of corona infected are not stopping in the state.

In January 2022, 123 people have died across the state while in February 40 people have died within five days. The death rate in the state has increased from 1.68 to 1.70 percent. The recovery rate is only 95%. The people who are dying of corona in the state include children, youth and the elderly. 50 patients are on ventilator in state hospitals.The number of patients on oxygen beds is 250, while 95 percent of the patients are isolated at home. The death toll in the state has crossed four thousand. So far, maximum deaths have occurred in district Kangra. The death toll in Kangra district is more than 1200. Shimla district is at number two. The number of dead here is 690 and in district Mandi is 486. At least 18 people have died in Lahaul Spiti. Active patients in the state have crossed seven thousand.The Health Department believes that more than two thousand people are getting cured every day in the state. Within four days people’s fever is coming down. Health Secretary Amitabh Awasthi said that 100% of the people have received the second dose of the vaccine. Therefore, the third wave does not have much effect in the state.
