BJP State President and MP Suresh Kashyap, while congratulating the founder of Sikhism and the first Guru Guru Nanak Dev, said that no one has done as much work as our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done in the interest of Sikh brothers. The job of the opposition is only to mislead the Sikh brothers. He said that earlier there was no provision for taking foreign contribution to Shri Harmandir Sahib, but due to the inspiration of Hon’ble Prime Minister, FCRA registration was granted and now Shri Harmandir Sahib has started receiving foreign contribution. This work was done during the time of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while many Sikh brothers also came under the rule but this work could not be done. Kashyap said that earlier langar was also taxed, our Prime Minister has done the work of making it tax free. For 70 years since independence, our Sikh brothers could not get the opportunity to visit Dera Nanak Sahib and Kartarpur Sahib, this path was not available till now, but with the inspiration of Honorable Prime Minister, this corridor was built with a fund of Rs 120 crore. The tax was prepared and the way was paved for the Sikh brothers to visit Dera Nanak Sahib and Kartarpur Sahib. The 350th Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh was celebrated with pomp across the country. For this, the Narendra Modi government made a provision of Rs 100 crore. Along with this, the Railways also contributed in this by making a separate arrangement of Rs 40 crore. He said that the Honorable Prime Minister dedicated a 750-bed hospital to the Sikh brothers in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Since 1984, there was a demand of the Sikh brothers to remove the names of many people from the blacklist, but till date this work has not been done. Due to the strong will of Hon’ble Prime Minister, 314 names have been removed from the blacklist, now only two names are left in it. Tears of our Sikh brethren withered away but the Congress governments could not get the culprits of the 1984 riots punished. Our Prime Minister formed SIT and put the culprits behind the bars. It is Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi who got the Jallianwala Bagh Memorial renovated and dedicated it to the nation in a new way.
