The winter session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly is going to begin on Friday, December 10 at Tapovan Assembly Complex in Dharamsala. Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar said that the session would continue till December 15 with a total of five sittings. On December 10, the session will begin with Shokodgaar. A day of 14 December has been earmarked for Non-official Members’ Work Day. An all-party meeting was also called at 3.00 pm today for the smooth functioning of the House. In the meeting, an appeal will be made to the ruling party and the opposition to maintain peace in the house. The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly informed that a total of 576 questions have been sent by the honorable members in the winter session. Out of this, 388 questions are starred and 188 unstarred questions. Most of these questions have been sent to the government for further action as per rules. Apart from this, 2 questions under rule-62, 5 questions under rule-101 and 19 questions under rule-130 have come up by honorable members. All these questions have been sent to the government for further action. The Speaker said that the questions that have come from the members are mainly the corona epidemic, the measures taken by the government for the youth who became unemployed during the corona period, the arrangements made in the hospital for the corona victims, the pathetic condition of the roads, colleges, schools and health. associated with the services. Apart from this, there are questions based on filling the vacant posts in the departments, tourism, horticulture, drinking water supply, policy formulation for outsourced employees, increasing crime and transport system. Vipin Parmar said that the Assembly Secretariat, District Administration and Municipal Corporation are fully prepared in view of the threat of Corona. Corona rules will be strictly followed inside the premises. To deal with any emergency situation, ambulances and testing machines have been arranged in the premises by the health department. Apart from this, an isolation room inside the building and two special wards in Tanda Medical College have also been reserved.
