Toll will be charged from the drivers driving on the national highway from April 1 at the new rates. Orders have been issued from the Union Ministry of Surface and Transport. There has been an increase of Rs 10 to 45 at Sanwara toll plaza on Kalka-Shimla NH-5. Mahindra Pundiyar, manager of toll plaza operator Ranchor Company, said that from April 1, one-way fee of car-jeep will have to be paid Rs 65 and double fare Rs 95.
Light Commercial Vehicle, Light Goods Vehicle and Mini Bus 105 on one side, Bus-Truck (Two Axle) on one side 215, Three Axle Commercial Vehicle 235 on one side, Heavy Construction Machinery 340 on one side and Oversized Vehicle on one side A fee of Rs 410 will have to be paid according to the new rates. The facility of pass is also given to the drivers coming within a radius of 20 km from the Sanwara toll gate as per the rules. This pass will now cost Rs 315 per month instead of 280.
