The cabinet has given approval to fill 495 posts in various departments including doctors, pharmacists. Along with this, approval has been given to fill up other necessary posts in various departments. Several budget announcements have also been approved in the cabinet meeting.
Health Department: Where will the health centers be upgraded
In a meeting of the State Cabinet held at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Monday, it was decided to fill 200 posts of Ayurvedic Medical Officers in the Department of AYUSH. Out of these 100 posts will be filled through direct recruitment and remaining 100 posts will be filled on batch wise basis.In the meeting, it was also decided to fill 100 posts of Ayurvedic Pharmacist on contract basis in the Department of AYUSH. Out of these 100 posts, 52 posts will be filled through direct recruitment and remaining 48 posts will be filled on batch wise basis.Approval was given to upgrade primary health center Rampur Bharapur in Sirmaur district to community health centre. Approval was also given for creation and filling up of five posts of different categories for the management of this centre. It was also decided to open a health sub center at Kemo in Lahaul-Spiti district and a health sub center at Jabalian in Bilaspur district. The Cabinet gave its approval to open new Ayurvedic Health Centers at Keolidhar and Sahaj in Mandi district, Karadsu village of Kullu district. Approval was also given to create three posts of different categories in each Ayurvedic Health Center and fill them up. Education Department: Know where schools will open and which schools will be upgraded In the cabinet meeting, it was also decided to open a new block education office by moving it out of elementary education blocks of Kandaghat, Dharampur and Kuthad in Solan district. Approval was given to fill them along with creation of necessary posts for its smooth operation. The cabinet gave its approval to open a new primary school at village Raihan in education block Aut.It was also decided to start science classes in Government Girls Senior Secondary School Bhangrotu in Mandi district.The Cabinet also approved Government High Schools Boholian, Neharswar, Tokyo, Jagala-Bhud and Badthal Madhana of District Sirmaur and Government High School Malana in Kullu District as Government Senior Secondary School and Government Secondary Schools of Sirmour District, Devka, Nalka, Kodewala, Panyali and Sattar. It was decided to upgrade Bhadon to Government High School. Approval was given to create and fill up 56 posts of different categories for smooth management of newly upgraded schools.The cabinet approved upgradation of Government High School Khauli in Mandi district to Government Senior Secondary School, Government Secondary School Chulathach and Yorna and Government Secondary Schools Piplage and Sarsari in Kullu district to Government High School and Government Primary School Bihar and Sujaini to Secondary School. Along with this, it was also decided to create and fill 27 posts of different categories.The Cabinet gave its approval to open a new Government Graduate College at Nauhradhar in district Sirmaur as well as create and fill 18 posts of different categories for its operation.The Cabinet also decided to start Science classes in Government Senior Secondary School Kulehra and Dhabidi in Hamirpur district and Commerce classes in Government Senior Secondary School Koharli to facilitate the students of these areas.137 colleges will be under Mandi University The Cabinet gave its approval for the determination of jurisdiction of the recently opened Sardar Patel University Mandi and Himachal Pradesh University Shimla. 137 colleges of Mandi, Kangra, Chamba, Lahaul-Spiti and Kullu districts will come under Sardar Patel University Mandi, while 165 colleges from Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan, Kinnaur, Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Una districts will come under Himachal Pradesh University Shimla.OTHER DEPARTMENTS: Approval for creation of new development block The cabinet decided to open new development block office at Khundian in district Kangra and create 14 posts of different categories and fill them up for its smooth functioning. There will be 20 panchayats under this development block. The cabinet decided to fill up 32 posts of different categories for smooth functioning of Panchayati Raj Department. Approval was given to fill six posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT) on contract basis through Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission in the State Election Commission. 25 posts to be filled in Project Director’s office In order to strengthen the office of Project Director of Rural Development Office in each district of the State, approval was given to fill up 25 posts of different categories in Rural Development. The Cabinet also gave its approval to open Labor Circle Office and Sub Employment Office at Dharampur in Mandi district along with creation of necessary posts for the convenience of the people of the area. The cabinet has decided to give concession in electricity duty to the big industrial units of the state to provide industry friendly environment to the entrepreneurs.
