Kullu: The 68th District Level Cooperative Day was celebrated with gaiety by District Cooperative Federation Limited Kullu in Sahakar Bhawan premises located at Sarvari today. Additional Deputy Commissioner Shipam Pratap Singh attended the program as the chief guest, while the program was presided over by District Cooperative Union President and former Horticulture Minister Satya Prakash Thakur. The program was inaugurated by the chief guest by hoisting the cooperative flag. During this, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shivam Pratap Singh said that 34 shops of Bhuttikos are functioning in district Kullu and presently Kullu shawls are known as Bhuttikos. For this he thanked Bhutiko President Satya Prakash Thakur. He said that in Himachal Pradesh more than 17 lakh people are directly or indirectly associated with cooperative societies. He also assured the cooperative societies of all possible cooperation from the government and the district administration. He said that under Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojna, subsidy of Rs.15 lakh is provided on loan of 60 lakhs and out of 9 percent interest payable on it, 5 percent has to be paid by the government and only 4 percent by the beneficiary. He said that the District Co-operative Union can present every problem related to the cooperative before the district administration.
