The river rafting sites built in the Beas river have also increased with the start of rafting. In fact, about two months ago, the High Court banned the adventure sports of Kullu-Manali. Thousands of people had become unemployed due to the closure of 13 types of sports operating here. The court has given conditional permission for paragliding, snow scooter, ATV and rafting on Tuesday.
Some people were seen waiting for paragliding. When the tourists who came out towards Sissu returned in the evening, they also enjoyed paragliding. Surendra Pal, president of Manali Paragliding Association, said that paragliding started in Solangnala as soon as paragliding was allowed to resume in the afternoon. Although the crowd of tourists is not that much on the first day, but the crowd is likely to increase in the coming days. Rafting sites like Raison, Babeli etc. also saw a lot of excitement on the first day. After about two o’clock this game of adventure started on the Beas waves. The deserted rafting sites became buzzing with the arrival of tourists. The head of the Rafting Association, Shyam Attri said that the youth associated with this business have got relief due to the start of rafting. District Tourism Officer and SDM Manali Dr. Surendra Thakur informed that four adventure sports have been started from today.
Permission will be given after completing the formalities those who have not got permission to drive rafting, paragliding, snow scooter, ATV, they will have to complete all the formalities. After this the technical committee will inspect and recommend their names to the government. The matter will be taken up in the court through the government. After that they can also get permission.
