Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that all aspirational districts should be inspirational districts of India. The aspirational district program should be extended to the block and city level. The Aspirational Districts program launched in 2018 was aimed at transforming 112 districts showing low development in the social sector.
Presiding over the second day meeting of the three-day first National Conference of Chief Secretaries in Dharamsala, the PM said, the government should make efforts to make these inspiring districts. The best, young officers of the country should be posted in the aspirational districts. The experience and learning they will get while working in these districts will be unparalleled and will prove useful for the entire country.
He asked to strengthen the training of teachers by leveraging digital technology and learning mobile apps. Modi also held discussions with chief secretaries and officers on the subject of crop diversification and self-reliance in agricultural commodities. In this conference being held under the theme ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav-2047’ under the chairmanship of Modi, the roadmap for India till the year 2047 was discussed.
The three-day conference chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will conclude on Friday. This conference will lay out a roadmap for the future to further strengthen the partnership between the Central and State Governments.
