The state cabinet has approved the implementation of the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission in Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, contract employees will also get an increased pay scale. Employees, pensioners will get these benefits from January 1. According to sources, the cabinet has given its nod to the decisions taken in the JCC meeting. In the meeting, a detailed presentation was made by the Finance Department on the draft prepared about the new pay scale. In addition to about 2.5 lakh employees, 1.90 lakh pensioners will be benefitted. This benefit will be given to the employees from January 1, 2016. A cabinet meeting is going on in the state secretariat under the chairmanship of CM Jai Ram Thakur. The new energy policy of the state will be approved in the meeting. About 53 agendas are being discussed in the meeting.
