Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing a huge public meeting at Bhanjradu after dedicating developmental projects worth about Rs 146 crore for Churah Assembly Constituency of District Chamba today, while addressing a huge public meeting at Degree College, Teesa, near Kotla area. Announced opening of Senior Secondary Schools, Primary Health Centers at Bairagarh and Kohal, Primary Schools at Kathal, Biala and Khanguru, upgradation of Government High Schools at Kandla and Bharadha to Senior Secondary Schools and three Middle Schools into High Schools. He said that parking would also be constructed at Bhanjradu for the convenience of the people of the area.The Chief Minister said that the inauguration and foundation stone laying of developmental projects worth Rs 146 crore was a fitting answer for those who were questioning the unprecedented development in the state. He said that despite the Corona pandemic, the State Government has ensured rapid and all-round development in the State. He said that this has been possible only because of providing free vaccine developed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people of the country. He said that the people of the state themselves are intelligent and they will not believe the false promises of Arvind Kejriwal.The Chief Minister said that every day of the State Government has been dedicated for the development of the State and welfare of the people. He said that the first decision of the State Government was taken for the welfare of the elderly. He said that an amount of over Rs 1,300 crore was being spent on providing social security pension to vulnerable sections of the society whereas only Rs 400 crore was spent during the tenure of Congress. He said that Sahara Yojana, Himcare, Jan Manch, Chief Minister Helpline-1100, Grihini Suvidha Yojna, Shagun Yojana etc. have really changed the lives of the poor and weaker sectionsJai Ram Thakur said that the Congress remained in power in the state for a long time but did not do anything new to ensure the welfare of the weaker sections of the society. He said that the Congress leaders are finding it difficult to tolerate the welfare schemes launched by the present State Government. He said that giving the definition of freebies to the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes is an insult to the poor and needy. He said that the announcements made by him on the occasion of Himachal Diwas on 15th April also did not go down well with the Congress leaders. He said that the State Government has decided to provide electricity up to 125 units free of cost to the consumers of the State, 50 percent discount in the fare of Himachal Road Transport Corporation buses for women passengers and to provide free drinking water to the consumers in rural areas. . These include lifting water supply scheme costing Rs 23.83 crore for village panchayats like Kandla, Pukhri, Dular, Sirkundi, Kiani etc., improvement and promotion work of water supply scheme of Gram Panchayat Khushnagri and Guwadi with Rs 4.59 crore, 2.85 of water supply scheme of Gram Panchayat Ghulai. Rs 1.68 crore water supply scheme for villages of Gram Panchayat Charodi, Rs 1.33 crore water supply scheme for villages of Gram Panchayat Lesvi, Gram Panchayats Sanwal, Shela Beri, Dehgram, Jhajjakothi, Thaneikothi, Kuthed Improvement and promotion work of various water supply schemes costing Rs. 24.77 crore, improvement and promotion work of Rs. 10 crore for various water supply schemes for village pancOn his arrival at Bhanjradu, hundreds of people gave him a warm welcome from both sides of the road from the helipad to the rally venue of Bhanjradu. Various social, political and cultural organizations welcomed the Chief Minister on the occasion.
