H.P. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Friday visited the Government Senior Secondary School Baldeyan and called upon the students to read good books. During this visit, the NCC cadets escorted to the governor. Governor Arlekar interacted with 41 students of class IX about an quarter hour and governor distributed books written on the struggles and successes of great men to the students. Language teacher Dr. Deshraj was also present in the class on this occasion. “The books are true friends and guides. Asked the children that if you go to fairs and markets, instead of buying toys and sweets, ask parents to buy good books”, said governor Arlekar. On this occasion, ninth standard students Nitish, Pankaj, Madhu, Rekha and Trisha also answered the Governor’s questions. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, after reading these books, also asked the students to write a letter at the address of Raj Bhavan till June 18 to give feedback. Governor Arlekar said that students must write and tell him what the students liked in these books. The Governor said that he is confident that students will read the books. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar also planted a plant of Chinar at Baldeyan School campus. He discussed the new education policy with Principal Dharampal Jistu and staff members. The teachers said that they are ready to implement the new education policy. “The policy will be implemented according to the orders of the department”, added Principal Dharampal Jistu.
