Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) Executive Vice-Chancellor Acharya SP Bansal had a seminar with the differently-abled students on Tuesday. He said that the rules made for the empowerment of disabled students would be strictly implemented. He congratulated the differently abled students who passed the National Fellowship, JRF, NET and SET. He said that the differently-abled students would also get the facility of free coaching in HPU. All the books in the library will be digitized for visually impaired students. Digitization work is going on. HPU will also provide similar facilities in the sports sector.
Students participating in regional, national and international sports competitions will be encouraged. Writers’ panel will be formed for the visually impaired and handicapped students. Writers will be made available from this. The university is proud of the achievements of the differently-abled students. They will be motivated to move forward by giving some other facilities and support.
