Anmol (30), a resident of Sarkaghat, Mandi has cleared UPSC by securing 438th rank. He is currently posted as Block Development Officer (BDO) at Tutu in Shimla. He has topped in Himachal Administrative Services examination this year. After his initial education from Kendriya Vidyalaya Mandi, Anmol did his B.Tech in Technology from NIT Hamirpur and later M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. His father Krishan Chand is a former HAS officer who recently retired from the post of Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Mandi while his mother Usha Devi is a Zila Parishad Member from Baldwara ward of Mandi.
After the declaration of the result by UPSC, Anmol paid a courtesy call on the DC Shimla Anupam Kashyap at his office on Tuesday. Anmol said that he always wanted to join administrative service only after seeing his father and he gave the credit of his achievement to his parents.
