Himachal by elections results:
In Himachal Pradesh, the Congress has cleared the Mandi Lok Sabha seat and three assembly seats in the BJP (Himachal by-elections). The BJP has suffered a setback in Mandi. From here the party had hoped to win, but it has suffered a setback. Now BJP will find out the reasons behind the defeat in Himachal Pradesh, but one thing is certain that the BJP has lost due to inflation, wrong ticket allocation and local issues.
The familyism about which the BJP didn’t distributed tickets in the Himachal by-elections was heavy for them. BJP candidate’s security was forfeited in Jubbal Kotkhai elections. While Rohit Thakur, who was handling familyism and his grandfather’s political legacy, won. Something similar happened in the Fatehpur seat of Kangra (Fatehpur by elections). The BJP continued to surround the Congress in the name of familyism, but the public tied the knot of victory for the product of the same family and the son of former late MLA Sujan Singh Pathania.
In the Mandi too, familyism prevailed. From here the Virbhadra family contested and won the most number of times. The result was that again, Pratibha Singh of Congress has become MP. In the last five elections, Congress has won from here three times. People have reposed faith in the same Virbhadra Singh family all three times.
The victory of Rohit Thakur of Congress from Jubbal-Kotkhai assembly constituency was 6293 votes. Rohit Thakur got 29,955 votes BJP’s Neelam Saraik got only 2644 and Independent and rebel Chetan Singh Bragta got 23662 votes. The BJP candidate’s security was forfeited.
