Karsog MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly, H.P.) Hira Lal and officials of I.P.H division Karsog attended the “Combined Annual Training Camp-224” of 7 H.P. (I) Company National Cadet Corps Shimla here on Thursday in Government Model Senior Secondary School Karsog of District Mandi of Himachal Pradesh.To attend this training camp, on behalf of Commanding Officer Col D.R. Gargey of 7 H.P. (I) National Cadet Corps Shimla on a special invitation MLA Hira Lal from Karsog Legislative Assembly and other I.P.H. officials of Karsog were shown training of the cadets and other training activities, and taught them how to shoot a target with a gun at the “FiringRange” nearby training camp.
MLA Hira Lal topped the firing. After the MLA Hira Lal fired bullets at the target, he exhorted all the cadets of the National Cadet Corps the passion of patriotism, nation-love, social service, devotion to the nation and spirit of devotion towards the nation and he encouraged for the progress of the nation. 547 cadets of National Cadet Corps from Shimla, Mandi and Solan districts of Himachal Pradesh are participating in this “Combined Annual Training Camp-224” of NCC for achieving training which will be followed by discipline as well as firing, drill, PT, cleanliness, communication skills and management skills.
Training is being given by Army’s instructor-soldiers and JCOs on important topics like drill, management skills, patriotism and unity, and dealing with emergency situations etc.”, said Commanding Officer Col. D.R. Gargey. Col. Gargey himself is supervising the training being imparted to the cadets so that there is no dearth of training. MLA Hira Lal congratulated these trainee cadets of the National Cadet Corps and the Commanding Officer Colonel D.R. Gargey and training-Army soldiers, training JCOs and associate National Cadet Corps officers for the successful conduct of this training camp, Hira Lal praised that Commanding Officer D.R. Gargey’s hard work and instilling love for the nation and service to the nation among the youth and Hira Lal also appreciated the better training and facilities being provided to the cadets in the training camp.
MLA Hira Lal said that he too has been a cadet of National Cadet Corps and has received training and he is already fond of firing with gun. While interacting with the cadets, MLA Hira Lal said that the National Cadet Corps’ cadets have discipline, conscientiousness, loyalty and dedication towards the nation, and awakened the feeling of patriotism. MLA Hira Lal said that our nation India will be called a bright nation in the coming future and from the point of view of security, these cates will contribute to the all-round development of the nation by getting along education. MLA has thanked State Government, Central Government and Commanding Officer D.R. Gargey for organizing this annual training camp. Commanding Officer Col. D.R. Gargey informed that this training camp is being organized in two parts from 1st July to 10th July and then from 12th to 22th July and 547 cadets are being trained in the first training part of the annual training camp while about 600 cadets will be trained in the second training part. Colonel Gargey said that the cadets in the camp were given tainii on drill, discipline, national defense and from education to service to the nation, training for better firing is being imparted and cultural programs are also being organized along with sports competitions.
The cadets who topped in the firing training would be selected for the firing competition at the national level from this training camp itself”, said Commanding Officer Col. Gargey. Col. Gargey said that efforts are being made to provide top class training to the cadets in the “Combined Annual Training Camp-224.”
