The government is trying to implement the new education policy in the schools of Himachal. Due to this, vocational education will be started in 450 schools in the state as per the education policy from the next session. A review meeting on “New Education Policy 2020” was held under the chairmanship of Education Minister in Shimla on Monday. After which Education Minister Govind Thakur told the media that the National Education Policy 2020 is being started in different parts of the state and important decisions have been taken in the meeting for this. Education will start and skill mapping will be done in all the districts. It will also be checked how vocational education will be expanded. He informed that soon Anganwadi workers and pre-primary teachers would be given special training for small children. He informed that 9 district level ambassadors would be appointed in the state to make them aware and suggest the National Education Policy. He informed that this year the syllabus will be prepared in collaboration with NCERT and by April 2023, students will get new textbooks.
