People of 60 years and above in Himachal Pradesh will now get old age pension from April 1. For this, no income limit has been kept by the government. However, some rules have been set. Now the government has also issued the rules made for this. In the ineligibility in rule 6, some such classes have been mentioned, who will not be entitled to this pension even after completing 60 years of age. These include those couples, who are taking pension after retiring from government service and who are filling income. The government has clarified that if one of the spouses is getting government service pension, then they will not be given social security pension. At the same time, if one of the spouses is an income tax payer, then he too will not be given social security pension. Except these two classes, it has been said to give pension to all the other classes.
The government has clarified that the needy should get social security pension every month, the government has started this scheme with this intention. The government has also issued an affidavit for this, which will have to be filled and signed by the pensioner himself. It is clearly written in it that if he gives wrong information, then he will be guilty for that. Elderly men in the age group of 60 to 69 and elderly women in the age group of 60 to 64 will get a pension of Rs 1000 per month. A provision has been made to give pension of Rs 1150 to elderly women aged 65 to 69 years. All elderly people who are above 70 years of age will get a monthly pension of Rs 1700. Widow / abandoned / single woman and people with 40 to 69 percent disability will get pension at the rate of Rs 1150 per month, while those with 70 percent or more disability will get pension at the rate of Rs 1700 per month. Provision has been made to give Leprosy Rehabilitation Allowance and Transgender pensioners a pension of Rs 1000 per month. This pension will be payable from 1st April 2022.
