The voters of Himachal Pradesh broke all the voting records of the assembly elections held so far this time.
A record 75.6% votes were casted on Saturday, 1% service voters are also included in this. However, more service voters are yet to be added. After this, the voting figure can reach upto 76%. Earlier, in the last assembly elections of 2017, the highest voter turnout was 75.57 percent.
State Chief Electoral Officer Manish Garg released the data on Sunday after remote polling teams arrived. This time, the maximum turnout was recorded in Doon assembly constituency of Solan at 85.25%. The voting percentage from EVMs was 74.6. Some ballots have been received by post.
