Countering the rhetoric being made by Congress and other parties regarding Shimla Development Plan, BJP District Shimla President Ravi Mehta, Shimla BJP Mandal President Rajesh Sharda, Kasumpti Mandal President Jitendra Bhodka, Shimla Rural Mandal President Dinesh Thakur said that the opposition The team seems happy with the stand of NGT on Shimla Development Plan.During the Congress government itself, the Green Tribunal had given a decision in which instructions were given to the government to prepare a development plan for the city of Shimla. The Congress government at that time failed to properly present the case before the Green Tribunal and the people of Shimla city had to face problems. But our government has made a development plan keeping all the things in mind. Congress failed to do anything during its tenure and is doing politics now. The BJP government has already gone to the Supreme Court against the decision of the Green Tribunal. And this time also she will not miss to take any step for the interest of the people of Shimla.BJP leaders said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, the development plan was prepared for the development of Shimla for the first time in more than 40 years with the efforts of Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj. On this some people who were against the interest of the general public, again went to the Green Tribunal. The Congress and other opposition parties did not welcome Shimla Development Plan anyway and now they are competing to do politics. That’s why they are making nonsense statements without checking the facts.Congress could not take any step in this direction during its tenure. The BJP leaders said that after completing all the formalities, the BJP government has come up with a plan for the betterment of the people of Shimla city and even now the government will stand firm wherever necessary. This step of BJP is a step taken in the interest of the people of Shimla and for this our government will keep its stand firmly wherever necessary.

Responding to the talk of Congress working in an election year, Mehta said that the government is elected for five years and till the last day the government should work for the people. He said that Congress’s talk of laying the foundation stone in the election year only shows their mentality which is only politically motivated. He said that the intention of the BJP behind this plan is for the welfare of the people. Mehta said that under the supervision of Urban Development Suresh Bhardwaj, many works have been done in the cities especially in Shimla city. Ongoing works were completed and new foundation stones were laid only after completing all the formalities and making budgetary provision. Congress must have laid the foundation stone of some works in its time, but neither the necessary formalities were completed nor the budget provision was kept for them.He said that roads in Shimla city are being widened wherever possible under the Smart City Mission. Mehta said that the Urban Development Minister has not kept any shortfall in the development. The Congress, which was missing in a critical period like Corona, is now gearing up for politics before the elections, to which the public will answer.
