SIU team caught drug smuggler, recovered 44.398 kg of sawdust poppy

On the basis of secret information, the SIU team of the district police has caught a drug smuggler doing the business of sawdust poppy. Police has started further action by registering a case against the accused under NDPS Act by taking the consignment of sawdust poppy. In Jabal is complete with a consignment of poppy. On which the team of Shyam Singh, Kishore Kumar, Dharamveer and Balwinder under the leadership of SIU team in-charge Narendra Kumar raided Jabal. When the SIU team reached the spot, Ram Pratap was sitting near Jabal trying to sell poppy sawdust to the customers. Ram Pratap was sitting on a sack, which was searched by the SIU team, and sawdust poppy was recovered from the sack. He had hidden the second sack behind the stones on the side of the road. The SIU team took possession of both the sacks, 20 kg from one sack and 24.398 kg of poppy sawdust from the other sack. The SIU team took possession of the consignment of sawdust and arrested the accused. DSP Baddi Navdeep Singh said that the SIU team has recovered 44.398 kg of sawdust poppy from a drug smuggler. The police have arrested the accused by registering a case against the accused under the NDPS Act.
