After the successful organization of Snow Marathon in the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti district of Himachal, now a national level ski competition is going to be organized for the first time.  The competition will be held in Sissu from April 2 to 4.  In which more than 150 players from 12 teams of the country including Indian Army and ITBP will participate.  The district administration has started preparations for the competition. Let us inform that for the first time India Invitational Skiing and Snowboard Championship will be held on the ski slopes of Lahaul Spiti.

This competition is being organized by the district administration and organizations associated with winter sports. In Solang, Manali, DC Lahul Spiti Neeraj Kumar said that the preparations for the competition have been going on for a long time. He said that the administration along with Himachal Pradesh Winter Games Association has completed all the preparations in collaboration with Ski and Snow Board India. Ski and Snow Board India General Secretary Roop Chand Negi said that Ski and Snow Board India is promoting winter sports across the country. He said that with the promotion of winter sports, such competitions would be organized in all the states.
