The damaged National Highway near the Electricity Board office of sub-division Theog caved in on Sunday afternoon. Due to this, the contact of Upper Shimla has been cut off from the capital Shimla. At the same time, thousands of people had to face problems due to the closure of NH. About 12 meters of NH has sunk. It may take several days for its construction, due to which people will have to face problems for many days.
SDM Theog has issued a notification in this regard. According to the information, NH was sinking for a long time near the Theog’s Electricity Board office. After this the NHAI started the repair work.
Passengers going towards Kinnaur and Rohru areas have been instructed to travel by alternate routes. In this, the vehicles coming from Rampur-Kinnaur have been instructed to go via Mashobra-Sainj, while the passengers coming towards Rohru, Kotkhai and Chopal should use Sainj, Dhamandari, Fagu link road and Nangaldevi-Dhamandari-Sainj road.
