This time after two years after the Corona period in the state, the winter session of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly will start from Friday at Tapovan in Dharamsala. It will run from 10 to 15 December. As per the previous tradition, on the very first day of the session itself, the opposition can disrupt the Question Hour by bringing a Stop Work motion. Excited Congress MLAs will be the attackers after the BJP’s defeat in the by-elections. After the JCC meeting of the permanent employees, the opposition can raise many issues like protests by temporary employees, displeasure of police constables, deteriorating economic condition of the government, deterioration of law and order. Last year the winter session could not be conducted in Tapovan due to Corona. Now this session, which is going to be held just before the election year, is going to be special. Apart from the Mandi Lok Sabha seat, the Congress is buoyed by the defeat of the BJP in Arki, Jubbal-Kotkhai and Fatehpur. A year before the assembly elections, this enthusiasm of Congress will also be seen in Tapovan’s house. The government will reach Dharamsala on its winter stay a day before the session. On Thursday, the MLAs of the ruling party and the opposition will gather in Dharamsala. A meeting of the BJP Legislature Party will be held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at 7 pm on Thursday in the cabinet hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Dharamsala. The meeting of the Congress Legislature Party will start at Naddi at 7 o’clock under the chairmanship of Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri. While the Congress will make a strategy to surround the BJP, the BJP will also adopt an attacking stand and put up a barricade to give a befitting reply to the opposition. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will also instruct the ministers to answer the questions of the MLAs in a tactful manner. Sanjay Awasthi, who won from Arki after the death of Virbhadra Singh, Sujan Singh Pathania and Narendra Bragta, Bhavani Pathania from Fatehpur and Rohit Thakur from Jubbal-Kotkhai will be seen in the assembly. The sitting plan of the house will change again. In this session, there will be an increase of one Congress MLA and one BJP MLA will decrease. Congress had 21 MLAs earlier and now it will be 22. BJP will now have 43 MLAs, two independents and one CPI(M) MLA as before.
