The Himachal Pradesh government has announced a special apology to the prisoners serving sentences in various jails of the state on January 26 on Republic Day for their good conduct and behavior. Under this, special amnesty has been given from 7 days to 45 days. A government spokesperson said that this would benefit 345 prisoners from different jails of the state. Out of these, 2 prisoners will be released immediately on 26 January on completion of their sentence.
