The 51st Full Statehood Day celebrations of Himachal Pradesh were organized in Solan today. CM Jai Ram Thakur addressed the function. During the program, CM Jai Ram Thakur has given a big gift to the employees, farmers and electricity consumers of the state.
In the function, CM Jai Ram Thakur announced that 31 per cent DA would be given to the state government employees on the lines of central employees. There will be an additional burden of 500 crores on this.
CM Jairam also accepted the demand of revised pay band of Himachal Pradesh Police constables and announced that the constables appointed after 2015 will have the same pay scale as other categories. He said that detailed instructions would be issued soon. The personnel appointed on contract in 2015 will be eligible for higher pay scale in 2020. Apart from this, two options have also been given to the employees for the revised pay scale, now apart from this they will be given another option. Apart from this, if any employee is deprived of this, then it will be reconsidered and resolved.
Pensioners of Himachal will be given pension benefits on the basis of pay commission of Punjab. This will benefit lakhs of pensioners.
The Chief Minister has also announced to increase the income limit of 35 thousand fixed for social security pension to 50 thousand.
Apart from this, electricity up to 60 units per month will be absolutely free for domestic consumers. For consumption up to 125 units, Re 1 will be charged per unit. This will benefit 11 lakh domestic electricity consumers. The government will spend an additional 60 crores on this.
At the same time, it was announced to increase the existing power units for farmers from 50 paise to 30 paise.
