These days a number of vehicles from Punjab are entering Himachal. There are religious flags on these vehicles. According to the rules of this Total Motor Vehicle Act, bikes and vehicles have been challaned in some districts including Mandi. In this process, vehicles of Himachal number were stopped in Kiratpur, Punjab. Now this matter is increasing. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has taken up the matter with the Punjab Government. It was also said that the vehicle in which the flags of Bhindranwala will be installed, they will be removed. Now the Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee of Punjab has sent a notice to Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and asked him to withdraw his statement.
Actually, some youths of Punjab were entering Bilaspur in Himachal a few days back. During this, there were flags banned in Punjab on the vehicle of the youth. Bhindranwala’s photographs and some other objectionable pictures were also pasted in these flags, which cannot be allowed. In view of this, the Bilaspur Police took action against such drivers. Angered by this, some people of Punjab stopped Himachal number vehicles in Kiratpur a day or two ago and its video is also going viral on social media.
Later CM Jai Ram Thakur had said that anti-national elements are being behind this. He said that there is no objection from his side towards the devotees from Punjab, but it is unfortunate to put up banned flags and posters. He said that information has been sought regarding the stopping of Himachal trains. The state government is serious about this. Action should be taken under the law in this matter.
In the notice issued by the SGPC, it has been said that Bhindrawala has been given the status of a religious warrior by the committee. CM Jairam’s objection is against him. So he should withdraw his statement. It has been said in the notice that the sentiments of the Sikhs have been hurt by the statement of CM Jai Ram Thakur. Therefore, we appeal to Jai Ram Thakur to withdraw his statement. CM Jai Ram Thakur has issued a statement on the notice of SGPC. The CM said that he is not aware of the notice as well as what is the meaning of the notice. However, the CM stands by his statement.
