A major fire broke out in the district on Thursday. In which more than 150 shanties of migrant laborers were burnt to ashes. The accident came to light on Thursday in Bathu village falling under Haroli sub-division. However, there was no casualty of any kind in the accident. But while dousing the fire, a fire brigade worker sustained burns. At the same time, the loss of lakhs of rupees is estimated to the migrant laborers due to this fire incident. As soon as the information about the incident of arson was received, the fire brigade team of Industrial Area Tahliwal reached the spot and brought the fire under control.On getting information about the incident, all the officers including SDM Haroli Vikas Sharma and DC Raghav Sharma also reached the spot. It is being told that while controlling the arson, a fire brigade employee got scorched due to the fire. Who has been taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. The cause of the arson is yet to be disclosed. The team of police and fire department is jointly engaged in the investigation of the case.On the other hand, DC Raghav Sharma reached the spot and took stock of the relief and rescue operations. DC Raghav Sharma said that immediate relief is being provided to the migrant laborers affected by the fire on priority basis. He said that most of the migrant laborers are working in the industries of the area, so the district administration with the help of industrial units, local gram panchayat and social organizations is making arrangements for the accommodation and food of the migrant laborers on priority basis.
