Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government was committed to providing shelter to the homeless and improving the standard of living of the slum dwellers. The Chief Minister was addressing a delegation of slum dwellers under the leadership of Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj here today.The Chief Minister said that the State Government has recently passed the Himachal Pradesh Slum Dwellers (Proprietary Rights) Act, 2022 with the objective of providing land ownership rights to the slum dwellers so that the slum dwellers can live with dignity.Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government is ensuring that every person gets the benefit of the schemes launched for the upliftment of the poor and needy people. He urged the people of the state to take advantage of these welfare Schemes urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj thanked the Chief Minister for this historic decision providing relief to the slum dwellers.
