The budget session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly began with a ruckus on the first day itself. Today the budget session of the state assembly began at 11 am with the address of Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar said that the State Government has done excellent work in dealing with the dire circumstances of covid.He said that Himachal has adopted natural farming. For this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also appreciated the working style of the state government. Congress MLAs started a ruckus amid the Governor’s address. Congress MLAs staged a walkout from the house raising slogans. The Congress MLAs listened to the Governor’s address for about 40 minutes and then started shouting slogans midway. However, CPI(M) MLA Rakesh Singha remained sitting in the House. He did not go out with the Congress Legislature Party. After the Governor’s address, the BJP and the Congress Legislature Party will make a strategy for the next day. Ministers and MLAs will discuss in the chamber of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. Under the chairmanship of Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri, Congress MLAs will also hold a meeting in the opposition lounge. There will be no question hour today. Today’s proceedings will conclude after the Governor’s address. This is the 14th session of the 13th Legislative Assembly, while Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will present the fifth budget of his tenure on March 4. The budget session is likely to be a tumultuous one due to the election year.
