The Himachal Pradesh government on Thursday appointed Additional Chief Secretary Energy and Industries RD Dhiman as the new Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, Ramsubhag Singh was removed from the post of Chief Secretary and made Principal Advisor (Administrative Reforms) in the State Government. Apart from this, IAS officers Nisha Singh and Sanjay Gupta have also been appointed as Principal Advisors. Nisha Singh was given training and foreign affairs, while Sanjay Gupta would have the Public Grievance Redressal Department.
RD Dhiman, who became the Chief Secretary, is a 1988 batch IAS officer. He is originally from Dhalwadi in Una district. It may be noted that in August 2021, Anil Khachi was replaced by Ramsubhag Singh as the Chief Secretary, while Khachi was made the State Election Commissioner. Ramsubhag Singh is a 1987 batch IAS officer. A notification in this regard was issued by the Personnel Department at around 10:15 pm on Thursday night.
