Himachal Pradesh is flooded with applications as soon as the ban on transfers of government officials and employees is lifted for 10 days. On the very first day on Monday, about 3,500 applications have been received in various departments. 800 in the Education Department, 750 in the Health Department, 600 in the Public Works Department (PWD), 500 in the Jal Shakti Department, 350 in the Forest Department, 300 in Electricity and 150 in the Horticulture Department.
These applications will be sent to the concerned ministers for approval. The transfer orders will be issued as soon as the approval is received from the ministers. After nearly three years, the state government has decided to remove the ban on transfers in government departments for 10 days from July 18 to 27. There will be no need to take the approval of the Chief Minister for making transfers. Officers and employees will be able to apply to their Head of Department.
