It is being told that after 15 days the price per thousand bricks will increase from 1500 to 2000 rupees. At present, bricks are available at the rate of Rs.6500 per thousand. In the coming days, between eight and nine thousand will be sold. The sudden increase in the price of brick is being considered as a big setback for the people.
Actually, the main reason for the increase in the price of brick is believed to be the increase in the cost of coal used in its manufacture. Most of the kiln owners use coal imported from America to cook the bricks. Two months ago the price of coal was Rs 15,000 per tonne. Now it is falling at Rs 25,000 per tonne. The quality of this coal coming from America is said to be better than the coal found in India. In comparison, the quality of coal coming from the states of Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal etc. of India is considered to be low.
New consignment of coal will arrive in 15 days In the coming 15 days, new consignments of coal will reach with increased prices from America. This consignment will reach Gujarat first.
