In view of the increasing cases of corona infection in Himachal Pradesh, wearing of masks in public places will have to be done. The government has issued instructions to the health department in this regard. The Health Department will further issue instructions that masks should be worn in public places. The cooperation of administration and police will also be taken in this regard. The cases of corona infection are increasing continuously in Himachal Pradesh. More than nine hundred cases of infection are being reported since two days. Active cases have also reached close to five thousand. In such a situation, the government has taken a decision in this regard. Wearing of masks will be ensured by the health department and administration. Provision for fines and challans will also be made. A total of 123 agenda items came in the state cabinet meeting, most of which were discussed till 3 pm.
In the cabinet meeting, the minimum fare has been increased from Rs.7 to Rs.5. In the past, the Chief Minister had made an announcement in this regard, today the cabinet has stamped on this announcement. Now people will have to pay the minimum fare of only five rupees in government and private buses in the state.
The government has approved the UGC scale for college and university teachers of Himachal Pradesh. This will put a financial burden of about Rs 400 crore on the government. Apart from this, the state government has approved the proposal related to giving six percent gratuity on cartons. Growers will be able to buy two crore cartons from HPMC and HIMFED. Under which the gardeners will have to pay only 12 percent GST. The government has released Rs 10 crore to HPMC.
